SSL Encryption

In order to protect your transmitted data, we use an SSL encryption for our website. You recognize such encrypted connections by the prefix "https: //" in front of the link in the address bar of your browser. Unencrypted pages are identified by "http: //".
Hence, data that you submit to our website - such as inquiries or logins - can not be read by third parties thanks to SSL encryption.

Our website makes use of so-called cookies in order to recognize repeated use of our website by the same user/internet connection subscriber. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser downloads and stores on your computer. They are used to improve our website and services, and in most cases these are so-called "session cookies" that are deleted once you leave our website.

To an extent, however, these cookies also pass along information used to automatically recognize you. Recognition occurs through an IP address saved to the cookies.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

The necessary steps and measures will however depend on your specific Internet browser. If you have questions, please use the help function of your Internet browser or contact its support. Please note that you may not be able to use all the features of our website in this case.

Use of Google Analytics with anonymization

We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland (hereinafter: Google). The Google Analytics service is used to analyze how our website is used. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our site.

We have signed a Data Processing Amendment with Google to ensure that the strict requirements of the European Data protection authorities with regards to the use of Google Analytics are met.

Google Analytics employs so-called “cookies“, text files that are stored to your computer in order to facilitate an analysis of your use of the site. The information generated by these cookies, such as time, place and frequency of your visits to our site, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google’s location in the US and stored there.

We use Google Analytics with an IP anonymization feature on our website. In doing so, Google abbreviates and thereby anonymizes your IP address before transferring it from member states of the European Union or signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website- and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or to the extent this data is processed by third parties on Google´s behalf.

Google states that it will in never associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

Google also offers a disabling option for the most common browsers, thus providing you with greater control over the data which is collected and processed by Google. If you enable this option, no information regarding your website visit is transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the activation does not prevent the transmission of information to us or to any other web analytics services we may use.

You may refuse the use of Google Analytics or cookies by selecting the settings on your browser accordingly. Here you can download a Browser Add-On by Google to deactivate Google Analytics.

However please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.  By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Use of Google-Maps

We use the “Google Maps” component of Google Inc. to show you locations of our activities and points of sale. This sets a cookie in order to process the user configuration and data when a page with the integrated “Google Maps” component is displayed. As a general rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but rather expires after a certain time, as long as it is not previously manually deleted by you.

We cannot exclude that Google is using servers in the US fort his purpose. If you do not agree with this processing of your data, you may choose to deactivate the “Google Maps” service and thereby prevent the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use “Google Maps” or at least only to a limited extent.

The use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained through “Google Maps” is according to Google’s Terms of Use as well as the additional Terms and Conditions for "Google Maps".

Use of YouTube components with enhanced data protection mode

On our website we use components (videos) of YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company belonging to Google Inc.

We use the “ - enhanced data protection mode - ” option provided by YouTube.

If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, this information will be matched to your YouTube member account. You can prevent this from happening by logging out of your member account before visiting our website.

For the purpose of functionality as well as for the analysis of user behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies via your Internet browser on your device. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option to prevent the storage of cookies by a setting in your Internet browser. Further information on disabling this can be found above in the chapter "Cookies".

Further information about data protection by YouTube is provided by Google under the following link.

Contract management

The data that we obtain from you as part of the use of our goods and / or service offer are processed by us since we need them to fulfill the contract. It is not possible to conclude a contract without provision of your data. As part of the contract execution, we might share your data with a transport company for the delivery of the goods or with financial service providers for payment purposes. In this case, Art. 6 (1) lit. b) of GDPR is the legal basis for the processing or transfer of the data. After completion of the process we will delete the data according to tax and commercial retention periods.

Collaboration with processors and third parties

When we disclose, transfer or grant data access to other persons and companies, this happens only if you have consented, on the basis of a legal condition (eg to payment service providers where a transmission of the data is essential to fulfill the transaction - see Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR), or if we have a legal obligation on the basis of our legitimate interests (eg when using webhosters, etc.).

On the basis of the Federal Data Protection Act, you may contact us at no cost if you have questions relating to the collection, processing or use of your personal information, if you wish to request the correction, blocking or deletion of the same, or if you wish to cancel explicitly granted consent. Please note that you have the right to have incorrect data corrected or to have personal data deleted only, where such claim is not barred by any legal obligation to retain this data.

Storage period of Data

The respective statutory retention periods (up to 10 years) determine the period of storage of personal data. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.

Online presence in social media

Through links from this website you can also reach our online presence on some social networks and platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). By using the links, you access the respective websites of the third party providers.
Please note that there, the social networks' respective privacy policy or declarations of data use apply. On these platforms we only process users' data if they communicate directly with us, e.g. write posts on our online presence or send us messages.

We would like to point out that this might cause user data to be processed outside the European Union, particularly in the United States. This may increase risks for users that, for example, may make subsequent access to the user data more difficult. We also do not have access to this user data. Access is only available to the respective network providers.

The legal basis for the processing of the resulting personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, communication, sales, and promotion of our products and services. It may also be your consent per Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR granted to the platform operator. Per Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, you may revoke this consent with the platform operator at any time with future effect.
